Course Description:

Weighted vests, if designed and used correctly, provide a cost effective way to enhance workouts. However, many people are still new to this technology and do not know how best to use it. This online course will help you to understand the benefits of weighted vests in exercise, how to optimize their use and which resistance training exercises are most appropriate for weighted vests.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the fitness professional will be able to answer the following questions about this new technology:

  • How can new technologies, such as weighted vests, enhance enthusiasm or motivation to adhere to an exercise program?
  • What modalities are available to help enhance athletic performance?
  • What equipment is safe and effective that can be added without changing an exercise regime?
  • What is available for non-athletes to utilize that can add intensity safely? This can include individuals with time constraints, as well as those who want to increase caloric expenditure
